Kulgam, Might 14: Militants after exchanging hearth with the federal government forces in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district have managed to flee from the spot. On this regard, police have registered an FIR in opposition to unknown individuals.

Throughout the intervening evening of Wednesday and Thursday, authorities forces acquired inputs concerning the presence of militants in Yamrach village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Troopers from 34 Rashtriya Rifles and 188 Battalion CRPF cordoned off the village and began a search operation.

“The militants fired indiscriminately on mixed forces after contact as established. There was an alternate of fireside between militants and troopers for a while, after which militants took benefit of darkness and escaped from the village,” a police official informed KNT including that search continues to be in progress in adjoining villages of Yamrach.

He added that an FIR has been registered at Police Staion Yaripora on this regard. (KNT)
