Poonch, Dec 1: A Border Safety Pressure officer has been killed in Pakistan firing in Balakote Sector of Poonch district alongside Line of Management in Jammu area.

   Official sources advised KNT that an Assistant Sub Inspector was killed after sustaining bullet accidents in Tarkundi space of Poonch.

   The slain trooper has been recognized as P.Jatha who was affiliated with 59 Battalion BSF.

   Since November 13, not less than eight troopers and a couple of BSF personnel have been killed in Pakistan firing alongside LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

   On Nov 13 4 troopers, a BSF man and four civilians had been killed in Pakistan shelling in numerous places of North Kashmir.

   On Nov 21 a soldier was killed in cross border firing in Lam Sector of Nowshera Rajouri.

   On Nov 26, a JCO was killed in Pakistan firing in Poonch and on Nov 27, two troopers had been killed in Pakistan firing alongside LoC in Sunderbani Rajouri. (KNT)
