China Ought to Be “Utterly Ashamed”: Australian PM Seeks Apology Over Photograph
Sydney: Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison mentioned on Monday Canberra is looking for an apology from Beijing a couple of Tweet containing a false picture of an Australian soldier holding the knife to the throat of an Afghan little one.
Morrison mentioned Australia was looking for the elimination of the “truly repugnant” picture posted on Monday by Zhao Lijian, a spokesman on the Ministry of Overseas Affairs.
“It is utterly outrageous and cannot be justified on any basis… The Chinese government should be utterly ashamed of this post. It diminishes them in the world’s eyes,” Morrison advised media at a press briefing.
