The NHL says it has acquired clearance from provincial governments for its Canadian groups to play out the 2021 season from their residence markets.
“On the idea of our discussions previously week, in addition to our change of correspondence over the past 24 hours, we consider we’re aligned and in settlement on the situations on which every of our Canadian franchises can start play in their very own buildings for the beginning of the 2020-21 NHL season,” deputy commissioner Invoice Daly instructed The Athletic on Thursday.
CBC Information has confirmed the assertion as first reported by Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.
The seven Canadian groups could be grouped in a single division and solely play one another at some point of the 56-game schedule.
