Srinagar, Dec 20: Police on Sunday claimed to have recovered two packets of Heroin-like substance at Dachi space in Uri of north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A press release issued to GNS reads that “In furtherance to our continuous efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Uri Police recovered contraband from Dachi during a routine naka established in front of BOP Dachi.”

“At around 1100 hrs during the routine check-up of vehicles a Sumo vehicle bearing Registration no JK-05D 6531 was stopped and the passengers frisked, the statement maintains adding that in the meantime two packets of Heroin-like substance were recovered from possession of two persons on-board to the vehicle.”
