Sanitary Inspector Makes an attempt Suicide in Kupwara, Hospitalised

Srinagar, Dec 14: A Sanitary Inspector on Monday morning tried suicide purportedly by consuming some toxic substances at Tangdhar space of north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district, official sources stated.

Figuring out the official as one Shabir Ahmad Lone (38) a resident of Handwara, they stated that “It is believed that he has taken some poisonous substance this morning while at his residential quarters.”

The official, in keeping with sources, was airlifted to sub-district Hospital Kupwara for remedy.

In the meantime when contacted Incharge BMO Kupwara Dr. Iqbal advised GNS that the individual has been referred to a Srinagar hospital for superior remedy.

A police official has within the meantime confirmed the incident to GNS and stated that an FSL report has been sought on this regard.

“An FIR number 102/2020 under sections 309 IPC has been registered and further investigations set in motion”, the official added. (GNS)
